The environment at 1800Flowers.com was very dynamic. We could go from a slow order day of a few hundred orders a day to our peak order days with over 100,000 orders in less then a week. This took a lot of planning. One of my main responsibilities was to perform capacity assessments for all E-Commerce and Backend systems to ensure we had the ability to handle the projected peaks for each new holiday season.
